By accessing or using Yarn Tales, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Yarn Tales is an AI-powered interactive fiction application that allows users to experience branching narrative stories. Users read story segments and make choices that affect the narrative direction.

3. Account Registration

To use Yarn Tales, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Credits and Purchases

Credit System

• Credits are virtual currency used to generate new story paths
• Exploring previously generated (cached) story paths is free
• Generating new, unexplored paths requires credits

Purchases

• Credits are purchased through in-app purchases
• All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law
• Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged
• Unused credits do not expire

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the app or servers
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Use automated systems or bots to access the app

6. Content

AI-Generated Content

Story content is generated by artificial intelligence. While we implement content guidelines, AI-generated content may occasionally be unexpected or inconsistent. We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or appropriateness of all generated content.

Content Ownership

• Hendrix Consulting LLC owns all rights to the app and its underlying technology
• AI-generated story content is owned by Hendrix Consulting LLC
• Generated stories may be viewed by other users who explore the same paths

7. Intellectual Property

The Yarn Tales name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of Hendrix Consulting LLC. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hendrix Consulting LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hendrix Consulting LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the app or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the app at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately. Unused credits are forfeited upon termination for cause.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
